2011
June 22 - Omar Venzor, EIT has been certified as an Engineer-In-Training by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
May 25 - Carl LaFerney, PE has been awarded his Texas Professional Engineer license.

2010

December 18 - Rhett graduates from Texas Tech University with a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

October 4 - Omar Venzor, EIT joins the Savant Group team.  Omar joins us after gaining experience at the Illinois Department of Transportation.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. 

September 27 - Tejas Mehta, PE, PTOE joins the Savant Group staff as a senior engineer.  Tejas brings to the firm more than ten years experience in both the public and private sectors.  Tejas holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Texas.  His expertise spans across traffic engineering, as well as transportation planning and travel demand modeling.  He has worked extensively on signal system design and operation, network modeling and optimization, and microsimulation applications.  Tejas is proficient in travel time demand modeling and has conducted extensive traffic engineering studies throughout his career. 

2009

August 9-12 – Susan attended the Summer TexITE meeting in San Antonio, Texas, where she and Sudhir Murthy received the 2009 Traffic Engineering Council Outstanding Project Award in recognition of the project titled Using Existing Loops at Signalized Intersections for Traffic Counts.

July 13 - Rhett Dollins, PE, PTOE joins the Savant Group team.  Rhett brings more than six years experience in traffic engineering, ITS design and operation, and municipal transportation planning.  He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University.  While in Lubbock, Rhett served as the first Traffic Management Center Engineer in the joint TxDOT-City of Lubbock TMC.
